Armitage has become his legendary sire's successor. Following the fundamental conviction that only top international quality can assure the success of coming generations, Armitage has responded to this conviction through every step in his career. From his introduction to sport by Marcus Ehning, he has been an international winner with more than 25 placings in advanced (S) level show jumping classes, as if he seems to feel he has an obligation to his ancestors: Argentinus, Grannus, Furioso II and Inschallah all wrote history and all sired Olympic Game horses. During his first years in breeding when comparatively few mares were bred to Armitage he sired several offspring that gained justified attention at this year's Bundeschampionat, taking 4th and 5th place in the Final. Armitage's offspring also drew attention in qualifiers as well as tests for young show jumpers all over Germany.
