Olympic finalist in Athens with an international performance pedigree
Epsom Gesmeray won the Young Horse World Championships in Lanaken and has gone on to win several Grand Prix championships. In 2003, he was fourth in the Ladies German Championships.
Epsom Gesmeray is impressive with exemplary willingness to perform, which he began demonstrating already by winning the young horse world championships in Lanaken consistently improving up to the final at the Olympic Games in Athens under his Korean rider.
His famous sire, Jalisco, was successful both in the sport and at stud, is by the all-time great stallion Almé out of a Furioso dam. Jalisco, himself, performed very well at the Seoul Olympics and sired the world-renowned stallion, Quidam de Revel, who influenced the breeding of show jumpers all over the world. On the damline, through the stallion, Starter, he has an almost identical bloodline as the three time World Cup Champion, Baloubet du Rouet, ridden by Rodrigo Pessoa. Rantzau xx also produced the all-time great Holsteiner, Cor de la Bryere.
Epsom Gesmeray is equipped with an ideal character, super rideability and movement, with powerful scope and technique. His first offspring are very promising and are similar to their sire.
