Nidoeschka "Nikki"

Nikki's extremely sweet and friendly personality quickly made her a favourite in our barn. She has a sterling pedigree from top to bottom. Imported from Holland, Nikki had a very successful career in the Hunter ring before retiring as a broodmare. Nikki has, thus far, produced 3 foals, 2 of which were awarded Premium. With her 3rd premium foal, she will qualify for the #2 star for Quality of Foals. Two of her foals are now under saddle. Her daughter, Walencia, has never placed lower than 2nd in any class she has been entered. Her other daughter, Wailea, has just been started under saddle. All of her foals are an improvement over herself.

Her sire, Belisar, was one of Holland's top dressage mare producers and in recent years was one of the most highly ranked stallions in Holland, achieving a dressage breeding index of 150. Belisar, now deceased, still has a rated KWPN reliability index of 93% as of 2009/2010. He has produced 88 Ster mares, 12 Preferent mares and 6 Prestatie mares. The Saros lineage has produced the stallions Toronto, Ucello, and Valentino. Belisar has personally produced 5 approved stallion sons, including Houston and Kroonjuweel. Houston was Champion Stallion in his grading year, had a dressage index sire rating of 158, and has produced 3 stallion sons who were Champions in their respective grading years, one of whom became the top priced horse of the Select Sale. Belisar's son, Kroonjuweel, was a top performance stallion, who also achieved a breeding index of 150.

Mention must be made of her exceptional damline. Through her damline, Nikki carries the very important blood of Ramiro Z, Cottage Son xx, and Furioso xx. Her mother successfully competed in show jumping at the S level and produced offspring who competed at the highest level of competition, thus Idoeschka was awarded her Preferent Prestatie Ster award. Nikki's granddam, Dauphine, competed successfully in Dressage, despite being a direct descendant from from 2 extremely remarkable show jumping stallions, Uppercut and Le Mexico. Le Mexico was awarded the very rare Keurhengst predicate just months before he died and, 8 years after his death, Le Mexico was still ranked 21st out of 200 stallions for dressage and his jumping index reliability was still ranked at 96%. Le Mexico was a slow starter but, as he aged, his true greatness in the breeding arena shone very brightly, evidenced by his progeny's rather spectacular results in the international Grand Prix arena. The great Thoroughbred stallion, Uppercut xx, was also awarded the very rare Crown Predicate by the KWPN. Not only was he an international show jumping champion himself, but he produced many exceptional international show jumping champions.
