Quicksilber is the World Young Horse Champion of very light type.
This extremely sporty show jumper is an interesting pedigree alternative. After winning the young horse world championships for five year olds in 2005, Quicksilber swiftly moved on to the 1.50 level, where at the age of 7, he was placed at CSI-level with Manuel Fernandez Saro. He has quick reactions, ideal bascule and scopey jump which have deservedly earned him the title Reserve Champion at the Brandenburg approvals. He has impressive high quality gaits and he was proclaimed the winner of his 30 day test. After winning many young horse classes, he made it to the finals of the German Young Horse Championships.
Quicksilber’s sire, Quattro, was successful on an international level and produced top show jumpers up to Olympic level, as well as particularly good dressage horses. The damsire, Restorator, is well remembered as an international show jumper who achieved great success in East Germany.
Quicksilber passes his modern light type on to his progeny with eye-catching athletic conformation. In 2006, Quicksilber produced the winning foal in Mecklenburg, and a 2007 colt reached the finals of the German Foal Championships, and ultimately became a top ten foal in Germany, thus proving that Quicksilber is well on his way to being a successful sire as well.
