Surprice

Born 2007, black, 170 cm, Oldenburg

Approved for: Mecklenburg, Oldenburg, Rhineland, South German Stud Books, Westphalia

A modern, jet black stallion with a priceless combination of genes from Sir Donnerhall and thoroughbred sire, Prince Thatch xx, on the dam's side.

At the Oldenburg licensing he was still relatively undeveloped and demonstrated many of the dam's sire, Prince Thatch xx's characteristics. Now, this relatively late-born black stallion is exhibiting an exceptional talent for dressage under the saddle. His popularity stems from his fascinating presence, energetic forward movement, excellent walk and flowing uphill canter.

Surprice has an ingenious gene pool. His sire, Sir Donnerhall, is one of the leading modern-day dressage stallions who continually produces top competition and breeding offspring. In 2009, he produced the North Rhine-Westphalian champion stallion Silbermond, and his daughter Schickeria sold for the highest price of €355,000 at the Handorf Auction in 2008. Maternal grandsire, Prince Thatch xx, is considered to be a supreme breeding stallion and has sired many internationally successful dressage horses, such as World Championship team gold winner Piccolino/Husenbeth and World Championship competitor Petit Prince, ridden by Joelle Beier. His offspring have accumulated over € 590,000 in lifetime earnings. This stallion's impressive pedigree goes back to the successful stallion, Wöhler, a genuine high-performance Hanoverian sire who is featured in the pedigrees of many other successful competition horses. Surprice descends from the successful dam line of Feiereiche, which has produced numerous advanced level dressage horses.

Surprice is a long-legged stallion with a refined modern pedigree.
