In the pedigree of Zambesi we combine the athletic scope and reflexes of Heartbreaker (ridden by Peter Geerink) with the boundless power of Calvaro Z (ridden by Jos Lansink), two stallions that have performed at the very top level. Additionally, Zambesi is the product of an excellent jumping dynasty, the NL damline 002. Grandam, Alanda (by Le Mexico), performed in the international jumping arena with Pieter Kersten. Alanda also produced the international show jumpers, It’s The Business (ridden by Goeff Glassard) and Galanda (ridden by Edwin Smits), both sired by Jasper.

The international showjumper Now or Never (by Burggraaf) ridden by Piet Raymakers is a son of Galanda. The damline goes back to a full sister of the ‘stamping stallion Victor’ ( Odin van Wittenstein) via the blood of Kartouche (by Gondelier) and Boris (L’Invasion). This family has also produced the Olympic show jumping stallions, Darco (ridden by Ludo Phillipaerts) and Arko III (ridden by Nick Skelton).

Zambesi scored very high points in the performance test in Ermelo 2008. He jumped with very good reflexes, a very good technique, showed enormous scope and gave his rider a very good feeling.
