Danika MSH

2013 | 168 cm | CW Mare

Approval: Eligible Hanoverian

Suitability: Dressage

Damline: TB 19

Breeder: Mariposa Sport Horses

Danika is a lovely, friendly, chestnut filly with plenty of chrome, correct conformation, and powerful gaits. She is well-stamped by her sire, and her quality of conformation and genetic heritage shines through in this young mare.

SIRE: Dannebrog stood at the Celle State Stud in Germany has already produced a number of well-regarded approved stallion sons in several countries. At his Stallion Performance Test in Adelheidsdorf, Dannebrog scored a dressage index of 135.74 points (3rd) and placed 4th overall with a score of 122.98 points. He especially impressed with his extraordinary character, rideability, and his 3 supple, elastic gaits, always maintaining the rhythm and soft contact with the bit. His sire, Don Schufro, is Olympic team bronze medalist and winner of at least 30 victories at Grand Prix. He is a producer of top ranked dressage horses, including Weihegold Olympic team gold and individual silver medalist, and was named Danish Stallion of the Year in 2003. Rounding out his pedigree is World Cup gold medalist and champion Donnerhall who had many grand prix victories, and Brentano II sire of top level dressage horses including Olympians Brentina and Barclay. The addition of Trakehner blood through E.H. Arogno adds exceptional inherited athleticism and is a combination that does not disappoint in this remarkable young stallion. Dannebrog descends from the exceptional Trakehner mare line, Kassette. Out of this motherline, numerous successful offspring have been produced such as Kostolany, Karon, Gribaldi, and K2. Dannebrog has several awarded siblings. His full sister, Diva Dannebrog is the mother of approved stallion, Zoom, and is currently being ridden by para-Olympian, Natasha Baker, which is a testament to the outstanding rideability of this family. His half-sisters, SPM Londy's Princess and SPM Lovely Kiss were both champions at Gottinberg Show in 2005 and 2006.

DAM: Royal Dawn MSH is our home-bred mare. She is uncomplicated to handle, with good rideability, trainability, and obedience under saddle, with an outstanding temperament. She unfortunately suffered a severe, life-threatening paddock accident to her knee which ended her showing career before it had a chance to start. Her sire, Royal Senna, absolved his stallion performance test with equally good marks in both dressage and jumping, placing 3rd overall. He competed to Intermédiaire I with his young, amateur rider. He was sired by world-renowned Rubinstein who achieved over 40 international Grand Prix wins before his premature death at age 14. Airport and Argentan round out this pedigree adding the necessary jumping blood, being producers of a remarkable number of successful competition horses.

Notable mention needs to be made of Danika's granddam. Come Spring was a pretty, tall, British and French-bred thoroughbred mare with outstanding temperament and character. She was brightly intelligent, kind, and loyal and very athletic. She raced three times earning a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placement, then retired to become a broodmare. Come Spring placed 3rd amongst warmblood mares at studbook inspection and earned breeding approval. Judges commented that she was especially the correct type of thoroughbred for use in warmblood improvement breeding due to her exceptional quality of sport type, conformation, long and correct front legs, and very good, powerful hindquarter engine. Her pedigree is particularly suited for sport horse breeding, notable for including multiple linebreeding to

Son-In-Law whose lineage was notable for producing steeplechasers, eventers, and show jumpers especially through his grandson Cottage Son xx. Additionally, her lineage includes Bay Ronald and Dark Ronald and who was particularly important in modern showjumping lineages particularly via Der Lowe (sire of Lugano I and II) and also dressage lineages via Woermann. Further, her pedigree includes Precipitation (sire of Furioso), Persian Gulf (grandsire of Westfalia's Paradox I and II), Hyperion xx (great-grandsire of Ladykiller), and Owen Tudor (the direct sireline of Lauries Crusador xx).
