Nidoeschka, aka "Nikki" is our barn favourite. After being imported from Holland, she had a very successful hunter career showing at Anderson Ranch in Calgary, Thunderbird at Canada's West Coast, and on the US West Coast. After her retirement from competition, she became a broodmare, and we are so privileged to have her join our broodmare herd. Nidoeschka is a brightly intelligent mare with a competitive spirit, a strong sense of honour and fairness, and considerable presence, zest, and personality.
All mares in Nidoeschka's motherline have been very good broodmares and have produced successful sport horses in both jumping and dressage in Europe. Nidoechka's sire, Belisar, was overall winner of his stallion performance test in Ermelo in 1986 scoring 8.5 for walk, trot, and canter gaits, and 7.5 in both free-jumping and jumping under rider, 8 for X-country, and an overall score of 9. He went on to become a top sire in Holland, was known for passing on intelligence, type, exceptional gaits, and rideability and most of his offspring were very successful in competition. As a damsire, Belisar proved exceptional when his daughters were paired with the Voltaire son, Now or Never, producing such notable approved stallions as Valentino, Uccello, Wilton, Toronto, Wilson, Alchimist, Danny Boy, Watch Me, Tyson, Vallado, etc. Despite being deceased for some time, Belisar is still one of Holland's more highly ranked sires, achieving a dressage breeding index of 150 and as recently as 2009/2010 still has an impressive reliability index of 93% in the KWPN. He produced 88 Ster mares, 12 Preferent mares and 6 Prestatie mares, and 5 approved stallion sons.
Nidoeschka has an exceptional foal production record. Daughter, Walencia (by Westporte), Premium Oldenburg foal, is an extremely successful in the hunter under saddle currently at 1.1m, as well as Hunter Equitation. Daughter, Wailea (by Westporte), Premium Oldenburg foal, is approved for breeding by the Hanoverian Verband. Wailea's first foal, Rosaleigha MSH, (by Rascalino) bred by us, was awarded Best Dressage Foal by the Hanoverian Verband at the international venue of Spruce Meadows Hanoverian Mare & Foal Show, (Judges Dr Axel Brockmann of the Celle State Stud and Dr Ludwig Christmann of the Hanoverian Verband). In 2013, Nidoeschka had an exceptional colt, Imagine That "Inderas" (by Banderas), and was sold to the USA as a jumper prospect. All of Nikki's foals have been of exceptional quality proving her exceptional heritability.
